A word of caution about “affordable” inspectors
Do not allow your client's home to be inspected by anyone that offers to repair the damage or treat the infestation found. Inspectors that perform corrective work on the homes they inspect are frequently on commission or profit sharing based upon the amount of corrective work they can sell. In the end, it's a false economy to select an inspection company based solely upon their inspection fee. A "FREE" or "Low Priced" inspection can become far more expensive than a fairly priced inspection from an un-biased inspection firm if “problems are found” that are exaggerated to generate a corrective service sale.
