Why should a home seller get the property inspected?

Above all else, do not allow your home to be inspected by anyone that offers to repair the damage or treat the infestation found. Inspectors that perform corrective work on the homes they inspect are frequently paid on commission or profit sharing based upon the amount of corrective work they can sell. It's false economy to select an inspection company based upon their inspection fee only.
